HomeMy WebLinkAbout16620 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,620 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT 4 THE AMENDED 2021-2025 CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND AMENDED 5 2022 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN TO THE UNITED STATES 6 DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT;AND 7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock,Arkansas(the"City")has access to CDBG,HOME, and 10 HOPWA funds on an annual basis;and, 11 WHEREAS,the use of these monies mandates that an action plan be submitted in accordance with 12 the requirements of Title I of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990;however, 13 if the U.S.Department of Housing and Urban Development"HUD")grants additional supplemental 14 funding allocations,the grantees must submit an amendment to their plans for a relevant plan year to the 15 HUD Field Offices of the proposed changes for approval;and, 16 WHEREAS,HUD will provide updated allocation amounts and will require a submission of the plan 17 upon request; and, 18 WHEREAS,the City's Board of Directors approved the 2022 projected use of funds,.Little Rock, 19 Ark.,Resolution No. 15,599(December 21,2021);the amended 2021-2025 Consolidated Plan,as 20 authorized by Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 15,600(December 21,2021);the amended sources and 21 uses,as authorized by Resolution No. 15,703 (June 7,2022); and the amended 2021-2025 Consolidated 22 Plan and 2022 Action Plan,as authorized by Resolution No._(March 4,2025); and, 23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. The Board of Directors recommends submission of the Amended 2021-2025 Consolidated 26 Plan and Amended 2022 Annual Action Plan to the U.S.Department of Housing and Urban Development 27 in accordance with the requirements of Title I of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act 28 of 1990 as HUD is granting additional supplemental funding. 29 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title,section,paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or 30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 33 resolution.
