HomeMy WebLinkAbout16615 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,615 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VERMEER MIDSOUTH, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED 6 THIRTY-TWO AND 02/100 DOLLARS($52,632.02),FOR THE PURCHASE 7 OF ONE (1) VERMEER BC1000XL WOODCHIPPER FOR THE PUBLIC 8 WORKS DEPARTMENT;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,the Street Operations Division of the City's Public Works Department has demonstrated 11 a need for one(1)Vermeer BC1000XL Woodchipper to replace the older, high maintenance woodchipper; 12 and, 13 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made through the utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 030923- 14 VRM,as authorized in Little Rock,Ark., Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18,2025);and, 15 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase of one(1)Vermeer BC1000XL Woodchipper is Fifty-Two 16 Thousand, Six Hundred Thirty-Two and 02/100 Dollars($52,632.02). 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Vermeer Midsouth, Inc., in an 20 amount not to exceed Fifty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred Thirty-Two and 02/100 Dollars($52,632.02),for 21 the purchase of one(1)Vermeer Woodchipper BC1000XL,to be used by the Street Operations Division of 22 the Public Works Department. 23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the Public Works 2020 Equipment Account No. 24 205409-72200-S40B632. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4.Repealer.
