HomeMy WebLinkAbout16602 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,602 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TEECO SAFETY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 5 EXCEED FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTY AND 82/100 6 DOLLARS ($56,230.82), FOR THE PURCHASE OF UP TO THIRTY-SIX 7 (36) REPLACEMENT BALLISTIC VESTS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK 8 POLICE DEPARTMENT;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Police Department("LRPD") be equipped and trained 11 with reliable tools and equipment to ensure officers'safety and operational readiness; and, 12 WHEREAS,the LRPD has a need to replace the ballistic vests purchased from 2018-2019 due to safety 13 expiration;and, 14 WHEREAS, the Quartermaster reviewed all clothing records and determined 36 ballistic vests 15 purchased in 2018 and 2019 are currently in use and in need of replacement;and, 16 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made utilizing the State's Contract with Point Blank to select Teeco 17 as the Retailer SP-21-0060;and, 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVE BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF 19 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 20 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Teeco Safety for the purchase 21 of thirty-six(36)replacement vests at a total cost of Fifty-Six Thousand Two Hundred Thirty and 82/100 22 Dollars($56,230.82). 23 Section 2.Funding for this expenditure will be paid from JAG funds as follows: $17,024.80 from JAG 24 22 (G52DF22A),$36,000 from JAG 23 (G52DF23A)and$3,206.02 from General Funds 105220-60050. 25 Section 3. Severability.
