3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH CASTILLO
4 CONCRETE POOL AND SPA, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
5 ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED
6 FORTY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($124,548.00), FOR THE WEST WINDSOR
7 AT BROOKVIEW DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design drainage
11 improvements to capture and convey drainage runoff from West Windsor Drive and re-direct it away
12 from residences on Brookview Drive;and
13 WHEREAS, project improvements include construction of a new concrete lined channel to
14 capture runoff and to convey it away from residences;and
15 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for Windsor Drive Drainage;and
16 WHEREAS, Castillo Concrete Pool and Spa, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bid
17 meeting specifications of seven(7)bids received;and,
18 WHEREAS, the total cost for this contract shall not exceed One Hundred Twenty-Four
19 Thousand,Five Hundred Forty-Eight and 00/100 Dollars, ($124,548.00),which is the base bid amount of
20 One Hundred Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety and 00/100 Dollars, ($103,790.00) plus a twenty
21 percent(20%)contingency;and,
22 WHEREAS,Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds authorized by
23 Resolution 15,968 (May 2,2023)with funds available from Account Activity B7D070D.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Castillo
27 Concrete Pool and Spa, Inc. in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand, Five
28 Hundred Forty-Eight Dollars and 00/100, ($124,548.00), which is the base bid amount of One Hundred
29 Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety and 00/100 Dollars, ($103,790.00)plus a twenty percent(20%)
30 contingency.
31 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as
32 authorized by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023). Account Activity B7D070D.

1 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
2 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
3 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in
4 full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally
5 a part of the resolution.
6 SECTION 4. Repealer.All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
7 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
