HomeMy WebLinkAbout16597 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,597 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK,ARK.,RESOLUTION NO. 4 16,289 (APRIL 16, 2024), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 5 ENTER INTO A ONE (1)-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH THE 6 GRIFFIN GROUP, LLC, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO 7 HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($220,000.00), FOR 8 MAINTENANCE OF CONCRETE MEDIANS AND RIGHT-OF-WAY 9 MOWING WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND 10 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,maintenance of concrete medians and right-of-way mowing is necessary within the City 13 of Little Rock,Arkansas, (the"City")to maintain public right of ways along City streets;and, 14 WHEREAS, the City held Public Bid No. 2406 on _ to obtain competitive bids from qualified 15 vendors to provide maintenance of concrete medians and right-of-way mowing;and, 16 WHEREAS, The Griffm Group LLC submitted the lowest bid out of_ bids received, meeting 17 specifications for the 2024 Concrete Median Maintenance program. 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contract with The Griffin Group, LLC, 21 for maintenance of concrete medians and right-of-way mowing in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred 22 Twenty Thousand Dollars($220,000.00),which includes a 20%contingency. 23 SECTION 2. Funding for this contract is available in Public Works Right-of-Way Mowing,Account 24 No.205409-S40B661. 25 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 26 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 SECTION 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent 31 with the provisions Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 16,289 (April 16, 2024), are hereby repealed to the 32 extent of such inconsistency. 33 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
