3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH MEDCOR, INC.,
5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY THOUSAND
6 DOLLARS ($40,000.00), FOR TELEPHONE TRIAGE SERVICES,
7 AND TO RATIFY SERVICES PROVIDED AND PAYMENTS MADE
8 SINCE JANUARY 1,2025; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock("City")entered into a contract with Medcor,Inc. ("Medcor")on
11 or about November 18,2018 for telephone triage services("Contract");and,
12 WHEREAS,the City entered into a First Amendment with Medcor on or about April 1, 2024 which
13 extended the termination date of the Contract to September 30,2024;and,
14 WHEREAS,the City entered into a Second Amendment with Medcor on or about August 28, 2024
15 which extended the termination date of the Contract to December 31,2024;and,
16 WHEREAS,the City wishes to enter into a Third Amendment with Medcor to extend the termination
17 date of the Contract to February 28,2025;and,
18 WHEREAS,Medcor has been providing telephone triage services to the City since January 1, 2025
19 and the City has been paying for said services since January 1,2025; and,
20 WHEREAS,this resolution is needed to authorize the City Manager to enter into the Third extension
21 with Medcor and to ratify the services which have been provided and paid for since January 1,2025 prior
22 to the execution of the Third Amendment; and,
23 WHEREAS, the Third Extension shall be in an amount not to exceed Forty Thousand and 00/100
24 Dollars($40,000.00).
25 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
27 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Medcor,Inc. to extend
28 the contract for telephone triage services to February 28,2025 in an amount not to exceed Forty Thousand
29 and 00/100 Dollars($40,000.00).
30 SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock Board of Directors hereby ratifies all telephone triage services
31 provided by Medcor, Inc. to the City since January 1, 2025 and all payments to Medcor, Inc. by the City
32 for such services since January 1,2025.
33 SECTION 3.Funding for this contract is available in Account No. 52033.

1 SECTION 4. Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase, or
2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
5 resolution.
6 SECTION 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
7 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
