AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 32 -303 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO REPEAL FREE
PA KING AT METERS AT THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT ON
H LIDAYS; ADDING A NEW SECTION 32 -410 TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT
FOZ METERED PARKING TWENTY -FOUR HOURS PER DAY, SEVEN DAYS PER
WEEK AT THE AIRPORT AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION

N , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Section 32 -303 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 32 -303. Suspension of certain sections.
he provisions of section 32 -403 and sections 32 -405 through 408, the
portions therein pertaining to parking in alleys, shall be suspended to permit unlimited
free parking, except for the Little Rock Municipal Airport, on the following days only:
(1) Saturday.
(2) Sunday.
(3) Memorial Day.
(4) Labor Day.
(5) Presidents' Day.
(6) Columbus Day.
(7) Veterans' Day.

ection 2. Chapter 32 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock,
Divisior 4, pertaining to Metered Parking, is amended to add a new Section 32 -410 as
follows:
ec. 32 -410. Metered Parking at the Little Rock Municipal Airport.
(a) The Public Works Department, upon request of the Little Rock Municipal
Airport Commission, may locate various designated minute parking meter zones upon
the streets within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Airport Commission and place and
maintain appropriate signs and parking meters indicating the same and stating the
hours during which parking limitations are applicable, if any. The minutes authorized
for such parking meter zones and the location of fine collection boxes shall be
designated by the Municipal Airport Commission.
(b) The penalty for violation of this provision shall be ten dollars ($10.00) for
each consecutive period of time the motor vehicle is parked in the space without being
moved f the ticket is paid within twenty -one (21) days of the issuance of a ticket. If
the fine is not paid until after twenty -one (21) days of the issuance of the ticket, then
the finE shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). A combination ticket and envelope shall be
provided at the issuance of a violation citation for the convenience of motorists. The
penalty shall be paid by placing such sum in the penalty box attached to certain
parking meters or by paying the fine to the City.

ection 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
sentence, phrase or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the
same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance, are hereby
repeale I to the extent of such inconsistency. All other provisions of Chapter 32 of
the Coe of Ordinances not in conflict herewith shall remain in full force and
effect.
