3 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE LITTLE ROCK PORT
4 AUTHORITY'S ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM THE ARKANSAS
5 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION'S ARKANSAS SITE
6 DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM TO SUPPORT CERTAIN
7 IMPROVEMENTS AT THE PORT OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Port Authority determined that it met the eligibility requirements to
11 apply for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission's Arkansas Site Development Grant,and
12 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Port Authority applied for and was awarded a grant from the Arkansas
13 Economic Development Commission to make certain improvements, including the removal of structures
14 and vegetation,the completion of additional cultural review,and the partial relocation of existing drainage
15 ditches to the proposed mega site at the Port of Little Rock,and
16 WHEREAS, these improvements will be utilized to improve Little Rock Port Authority owned
17 lands,to enhance the readiness of the site for industrial prospects in accordance with the grant requirements,
18 and
19 WHEREAS,the Arkansas Economic Development Commission(AEDC)has awarded$2,000,000
20 in grant funds to be used by the Little Rock Port Authority for the aforementioned projects, and
21 WHEREAS, these grant funds will allow the Little Rock Port Authority to make improvements
22 that will allow for future expansion and growth.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
24 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
25 Section 1. The City of Little Rock acknowledges and supports the Little Rock Port Authority's
26 a acceptance of grant funds from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission to make site
27 improvements to the proposed mega site in the amount of$2,000,000.00 and supports the use of Little Rock
28 Port Authority funds to provide matching funds for the grant in the amount of up to$200,000.00.
29 Section 2. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph,
30 subparagraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
31 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
32 resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
33 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions or parts of the same that are inconsistent
2 with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
