3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WAGNER GENERAL CONTRACTORS,IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE MILLION, NINE HUNDRED TWO
6 THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($5,902,250.00), TO
7 REBUILD FIRE STATION NO. 9, LOCATED AT 1324 NORTH
8 SHACKLEFORD ROAD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, as a result of the March 31, 2023, EF Tornado, Fire Station No. 9 located 1324 North
11 Shackleford Road was deemed a total loss; and
12 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to rebuild Little Rock Fire Station No. 9
13 located at 1324 North Shackleford Road,Little Rock,Arkansas;and,
14 WHEREAS,the City issued Bid No. 2703-9 for General Contract Services for the construction of a
15 new Fire Station 9 located at 1324 North Shackleford Road,Little Rock,Arkansas; and,
16 WHEREAS, Wagner General Contractors was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
17 specifications of three(3)bids received;and,
18 WHEREAS,the total cost for this contract shall not exceed Five Million Nine Hundred Two Thousand
19 Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100,($5,902,950.00);and,
20 WHEREAS, Funding for this project is from the FEMA DISASTER FIRE (270519-G51DF231)
21 special project which includes a fifteen percent(15%)contingency.
22 NOW,'THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY'IRE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Wagner General
25 Contractors in an amount not to exceed Five Million Nine Hundred Two Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty
26 Dollars and 00/100,($5,902,950.00),plus fifteen percent(15%)contingency.
27 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the FEMA DISASTER FIRE(270519-G51DF231)special
28 project.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
