Home My WebLink About16567 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,567 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ALL SERVICE ELECTRIC, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO THREE HUNDRED NINETY-ONE THOUSAND, 6 THIRTEEN DOLLARS AND 10/100 ($391,013.10), FOR THE CHENAL 7 CLUB INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design improvements 11 to the intersection of Chenal Parkway at Chenal Club Boulevard;and, 12 WHEREAS, project improvements will construct and install a new traffic signal system and 13 related work at the intersection of Chenal Parkway and Chenal Club Boulevard; and, 14 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for Chenal Club Intersection Improvement Project, Bid#2731; 15 and 16 WHEREAS, All Service Electric, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 17 specifications of one(1)bid received;and, 18 WHEREAS,the total cost for this contract shall not exceed Three Hundred Ninety-One Thousand, 19 Thirteen Dollars and 10/100, ($391,013.10),which is the base bid amount of Three Hundred Twenty-Five 20 Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty Four Dollars and 25/100, ($325,844.25) plus a Twenty percent (20%) 21 contingency; and, 22 WHEREAS,Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized 23 by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023)with funds available from Account Activity B5D043S; 24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with All Service 27 Electric, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Ninety-One Thousand, Thirteen Dollars and 28 10/100, ($391,013.10), which is the base bid amount of Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand, Eight 29 Hundred Forty Four Dollars and 25/100,($325,844.25)plus a Twenty percent(20%)contingency. 30 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized 31 by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023). Account Activity B5D043S. 32 SECTION 3. Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase, 33 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 34 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and [Page 1 of 2] 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 SECTION 4.
