3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH POSITIVE RESULTS LAWN SERVICES,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO ONE HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE
6 THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN DOLLARS AND 60/100
7 ($195,627.60), FOR THE LARCH ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
8 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design drainage
11 improvements along Larch Drive near 55th Street;and,
12 WHEREAS,project improvements include construction of new curb inlets,underground drainage
13 and other improvements to better capture and convey stormwater impacting residences near the intersection
14 of Larch Road and 55th Street;and,
15 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for Larch Road Drainage,Bid#2730; and
16 WHEREAS, Positive Results Lawn Services, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bid
17 meeting specifications of two(2)bids received; and,
18 WHEREAS,the total cost for this contract shall not exceed One Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand,
19 Six Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars and 60/100, ($195,627.60), which is the base bid amount of One
20 Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand, Twenty-Three Dollars and 00/100, ($163,023.00)plus a Twenty percent
21 (20%)contingency;and,
22 WHEREAS,Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized
23 by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023)with funds available from Account Activity B2D016D;
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Positive
27 Results Lawn Services,Inc.in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand, Six Hundred
28 Twenty-Seven Dollars and 60/100, ($195,627.60), which is the base bid amount of One Hundred Sixty-
29 Three Thousand, Twenty-Three Dollars and 00/100, ($163,023.00) plus a Twenty percent (20%)
30 contingency.
31 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized
32 by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023).Account Activity B2D016D.
33 SECTION 3. Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,
34 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
35 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 SECTION 4. Repealer.All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
