Home My WebLink About16563 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,563 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH POSITIVE RESULTS LAWN SERVICES, 5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO ONE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND, 6 EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND 40/100($106,838.40), 7 FOR THE ADELL DRIVE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND 8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design drainage 11 improvements to capture and convey drainage runoff from Ade11 Drive and discharge it into an existing 12 outfall ditch; and, 13 WHEREAS,project improvements include the construction of a new curb inlet and underground 14 drainage system to capture runoff from Adel!Drive, a dead-end street, and re-direct it to an outfall ditch; 15 and, 16 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for Adell Drive Drainage,Bid#2728; and 17 WHEREAS, Positive Results Lawn Services, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bid 18 meeting specifications of one(1)bid received; and, 19 WHEREAS, the total cost for this contract shall not exceed One Hundred Six Thousand, Eight 20 Hundred Thirty-Eight Dollars and 40/100, ($106,838.40), which is the base bid amount of Eighty Nine 21 Thousand,Thirty-Two Dollars and 00/100,($89,032.00)plus a Twenty percent(20%)contingency; and, 22 WHEREAS,Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized 23 by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023)with funds available from Account Activity B5D044D; 24 NOW,'THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Positive 27 Results Lawn Service,Inc. in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Six Thousand,Eight Hundred Thirty- 28 Eight Dollars and 40/100, ($106,838.40),which is the base bid amount of Eighty Nine Thousand, Thirty- 29 Two Dollars and 00/100,($89,032.00)plus a Twenty percent(20%)contingency. 30 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized 31 by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023).Account Activity B5D044D. 32 SECTION 3. Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase, 33 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 34 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and [Page 1 of 2] 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 SECTION 4.
