Home My WebLink About16559 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,559 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH POSITIVE RESULTS LAWN SERVICES, 5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-NINE THOUSAND, 6 FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS AND 60/100 ($189,525.60), 7 FOR THE "L" STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND 8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design drainage 11 improvements to bypass an inadequate drain pipe lying under a residence at 5411 L Street; and, 12 WHEREAS, project improvements include construction of a new underground drainage system to 13 bypass the existing pipe with appurtenant curb and inlets;and, 14 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for L Street Drainage,Bid#2705;and 15 WHEREAS, Positive Results Lawn Services, Inc., submitted the lowest responsive, responsible bid 16 meeting specifications of five(5)bids received for the project; and, 17 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed One Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand, Five 18 Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars and 60/100($189,525.60),which includes a 20%contingency. 19 WHEREAS,Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by 20 Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023)with funds available from Account Activity B3D025D. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE:BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with Positive 24 Results Lawn Services, Inc., in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand, Five 25 Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars and 60/100 ($189,525.60), which includes a 20% contingency, for the"L" 26 Street Drainage Improvement Project. 27 Section 2. Funding for this project is allocated in the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital 28 Improvement Bonds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,9668 (May 2, 2023), Account 29 No.B3D025D. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
