Our company acts as a recycler of sorts by purchasing remnant materials from stone crushing operations and repackaging the product to sell as raw materials to other industries such as floor tile manufactures. We propose to construct a small 30' x 40' (1200s.f.) pre-engineered metal building with an exterior loading dock and also a new conveyor system. To make the best use of the existing material handling equipment and existing silos, our new building must be aligned with these existing silo structures located in the southeast corner of our property. This alignment results in a 6.5' encroachment into a platted 30' building setback. In addition to our request to allow construction of this small building, we request that other site improvements be waived such as landscaping, parking and other civil engineering requirements. In 2005, Mineral Development, LLC, purchased the property referenced above which previously housed the Winburn Tile Company. Our company acts as a recycler of sorts by purchasing remnant materials from gravel crushing operations and repackaging the product to sell as raw materials to other industries such as floor tile manufactures. We purchased this property with plans of making capital improvements to accommodate our material handling operation. Our bagging operation will utilize existing material silos, conveyors and hoppers located at the southeast corner of Lot 2. We propose to construct a small 30' x 40' (1200s.f.) pre-engineered metal building with an exterior loading dock and also a new conveyor system. To make the best use of the existing material handling equipment and tanks, our new building must be aligned with these existing structures.
