I am writing on behalf of Freshly Renewed, a local faith -based nonprofit organization, to formally
request a special use permit for the property located at 40 Lakeside Dr., Little Rock, AR 72204. The
property is currently zoned as R-2, single-family residential. However, we have recently been made
aware that the current occupancy of nine women exceeds the city's definition of a single-family
residence under Pulaski County regulations.
The women residing at this property live as a family unit. They share meals, attend church, and spend
time together, providing mutual support. The only distinction from other family units is that the women
are not related by blood, but they do share a common disability. We understand that this variance in
occupancy has prompted the need for a special use permit, and we are more than willing to comply with
any requirements necessary to obtain the necessary approval.
Our request does not involve any physical alterations to the property, nor are we seeking permission to
conduct any business or offer services at this location. The property serves exclusively as a residence,
and all services provided by our organization take place at our treatment center located at 8404
Baseline Rd., Little Rock, AR 72209.
We believe that this home provides a safe and supportive environment for these women, and it has
ample space to accommodate them. We are committed to ensuring that the property continues to
operate within the guidelines set forth by the city, and we appreciate your consideration of our request.

On August 22, 2024, a request was submitted for the Bill of Assurance for Lakeside Terrace at 401 West
Markham St. After conducting a thorough search, documents A-H were located and provided. The Clerk
stated, "These are the only records we maintain on file." Documents A-H are attached to this statement.
