To Whom It May Concern,
As the owner of the historic Broadmoor Shopping Center / Broadmoor Plaza,
Mandani Holdings has taken major strides to contribute to the common goal of
those in partnership in the University District of improving the quality of
life and sense of place in the neighborhoods and commercial corridors
surrounding UA Little Rock.
The complex has been renovated and our team members have been diligent to
generate commerce while balancing a selective screening process for potential
business in efforts to contribute to the dynamic urban area, all while
improving the quality of life for all who live, learn, work and play in the
area.
We have had established local event planners inquire about multiple units. The
intention would be to have one or two larger units that are 3500+ square feet
to be able to lease to develop into event centers for community and familiar
events such as celebrations, memorials, religious events, and cultural
occasions. Currently there are two units at 2910 & 3002 S University that
would ideally be used for these.
Mandani Holdings also consulted with architects to develop an in-house managed
leasable space for events which can potentially include ticketed events. I am
attaching an example of developed concepts to this cover letter to provide
reference. This would be ideal for the previously mentioned community and
familiar purposes as well as professional events such as training or
conferences for public and private audiences.
While our current options are focused primarily on these two aforementioned
units, there are other adjacent units and currently occupied units that could
also benefit from the economic opportunities this can create for the district
and complex.
At this time, we wish to be granted a permit for conditional use of the
center/plaza as a potential event hosting and/or event center to further our
revitalization efforts which will in turn drive economic growth and job
development in the area. We appreciate the consideration of the board and the
support of those involved in the submission, review and approval process.
Sincerely,
SADIQ ALI
