RESOLUTION NO. 12,395
3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
4 AGREEMENT WITH H. JAMES ENGSTROM & ASSOCIATES, INC. TO PROVIDE
5 STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR VARIOUS CITY PROJECTS; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City has occasion to require specialized professional services for
9 structural investigation and design engineering services; and
10 WHEREAS, on August 30, 2006, the City issued a Request for Qualifications
11 ( "RFQ ") for annual Engineering Services for On -Call Structural Investigation and Design
12 Services, with an option to automatically renew for two (2) additional terms of one (1)
13 year each; and
14 WHEREAS, H. James Engstrom & Associates, Inc., was selected from the qualified
15 firms who submitted proposals.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
19 H. James Engstrom & Associates, Inc. to provide structural investigation and design
20 engineering services for various City projects on an as- needed basis for various
21 improvement projects within the City, and
22 Section 2. The term of this agreement shall be for one year, with an option to
23 automatically renew for two (2) additional terms of one (1) year each, and

I Section 3. Funding for these services will be available from accounts established
2 for the various projects. The total contract price to be paid by the City to the Engineer
3 pursuant to this agreement shall not exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00).
4 Section 4. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date
5 of its adoption.
