HomeMy WebLinkAbout16533 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,533 2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 3 A CONTRACT WITH SMART CHEVROLET IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 4 EXCEED FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($52,000.00), PLUS 5 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 6 2025 CHEVROLET 3500 SILVERADO 4WD TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC 7 WORKS LANDFILL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department-Landfill Division has a need to purchase one (1) 2025 10 Chevrolet Silverado 4 WD Truck;and, 11 WHEREAS,the purchase will allow for the replacements of Unit No. 8E617 with high mileage and 12 maintenance costs; and, 13 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made through the HGAC Contract#VE05-24;and, 14 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase will not exceed Fifty-Two Thousand and No/100 Dollars 15 ($52,000.00),plus applicable taxes and fees; 16 WHEREAS,funding is allocated in the Public Works Waste Disposal Account No. 603120-72300; 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Smart Chevrolet in an 20 amount not to exceed Fifty-Two Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($52,000.00), plus applicable taxes and 21 fees, for the purchase of one (1) 2025 Chevrolet 3500 Silverado 4 WD Truck to be used by the Public 22 Works Department-Landfill Division. 23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Waste Disposal Account No. 24 603120-72300. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
