IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE 6 HUNDRED EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY-SEVEN 7 DOLLARS ($108,567.00),FOR DORCHESTER DRIVE DRAINAGE 8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design roadway 11 improvements to address street drainage deficiencies in the vicinity Dorchester Drive; and, 12 WHEREAS,project improvements include reconstruction and installation of new curb inlets 13 and replacement of a failed drainage outfall pipe to prevent damage to residential properties;and, 14 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid Event No. 2698, Positive Results Lawn Services, Inc. was the 15 lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting the requested bid requirements out of two (2) bids 16 received;and, 17 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed One Hundred Eight Thousand,Five 18 Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars, ($108,567.00), which includes the base bid amount of Ninety 19 Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy-Three Dollars ($90,473.00) and a twenty percent (20%) 20 contingency of Eighteen Thousand,Nine Hundred Four Dollars($18,904.00),if needed; and, 21 WHEREAS, funding for the project is from the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital 22 Improvement Bonds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 15,968 (May 2, 2023) with 23 funds from Account Activity B6D058D; 24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 25 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with 27 Positive Results Lawn Services,Inc. for Dorchester Drive Drainage in an amount not exceed One 28 Hundred Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars, ($108,567.00), which includes the 29 base bid amount of Ninety Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy-Three Dollars ($90,473.00) and a 30 twenty percent (20%) contingency of Eighteen Thousand, Nine Hundred Four Dollars 31 ($18,904.00),if needed,for the project. 32 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital 33 Improvement Bonds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 15,968. Account Activity 34 B6D058D. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 2 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 3 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall 4 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional 5 was not originally a part of the resolution. 6 Section 4. Repealer.
