3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH THOMSON REUTERS IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED
6 FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS AND 04/100 DOLLARS ($206,645.04), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO PURCHASE A SUBSCRIPTION
8 TO WEST PROFLEX; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the City Attorney's Office's ability to conduct legal research is crucial to City
11 operations; and,
12 WHEREAS,the City wishes to purchase a subscription to West Proflex from Thomson Reuters; and,
13 WHEREAS, the service is to be procured through Arkansas State Contract Number 46000054069;
14 and,
15 WHEREAS,the initial term of the agreement will be for thirty-six(36)months;and,
16 WHEREAS, the cost for the contract will be in an amount not to Two Hundred Six Thousand, Six
17 Hundred Forty-Five Dollars and 68/100 Dollars($206,645.04),plus applicable taxes and fees.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a service agreement in an amount not to
21 exceed Two Hundred Six Thousand, Six Hundred Forty-Five Dollars and 04/100 Dollars ($206,645.04),
22 plus applicable taxes and fees, with Thomson Reuters to purchase a subscription to West Proflex. The
23 initial term of the agreement will be for thirty-six(36)months.
24 Section 2. Funds are available from Account 101801-60095.
25 Section 3. The purchase shall be made using Arkansas State Contract Number 46000054069.
26 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be
27 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
28 Resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
29 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution.
30 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with
31 any provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
