Home My WebLink About16552 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,552 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE GRIFFIN GROUP, LLC, IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS 6 ($65,000.00) FOR ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AND DEMOLITION OF AN 7 UNSAFE COMMERCIAL BUILDING LOCATED AT 3900/3910 ASHER 8 AVE.; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Planning Department enforces property maintenance codes on unsafe commercial 11 buildings;and, 12 WHEREAS, The Griffin Group LLC, has submitted bids in response to the City of Little Rock Bid 13 Contract No. 2676 in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars($65,000.00), in reference to 14 the building located at 3900/3910 Asher Ave. 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS. 17 Section 1.The Board of Directors hereby authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract with The 18 Griffin Group,LLC for the asbestos abatement,demolition and debris removal for the Planning Department 19 at a cost of Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00) in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Five Thousand 20 Dollars($65,000.00). 21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in City of Little Rock, Demolitions Account No. 22 Activity#S33C638,Unit# 108339,Activity#63390. 23 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 24 of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication 25 shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 26 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the ordinance. 27 Section 4. Repealer.
