3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH DELL TECHNOLOGIES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX AND
6 55/100 DOLLARS ($66,826.55), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES,
7 TO UPGRADE DESKTOPS AND LAPTOPS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK
8 POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) has a need to upgrade select Desktop and
11 Laptop Computers that connect to the City's Network;and,
12 WHEREAS,the JAG-23 grant budget includes funding for bulk purchases of replacement computers
13 for the LRPD;and,
14 WHEREAS, the Information Technology Specialist for the LRPD conducted a survey if the
15 Department's computers and identified fifty(50)in need of immediate replacement or upgrade; and,
16 WHEREAS, Information Technology Department requests authorization to enter into a contract with
17 Dell Technologies to upgrade thirty (30) Desktops with Dell OptiPlex 7020 and twenty (20) Laptops to
18 Dell Mobile Precision 3490 for the LRPD;and,
19 WHEREAS,Vendor selection of Dell Technologies was made through utilization of the State Contract
20 No.4600053723;and,
21 WHEREAS,the total cost for the contract shall not exceed Sixty Six Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty
22 Six and 55/100 Dollars ($66,826.55) plus applicable taxes and fees with funding available from JAG 23
23 funds 270529-60200-G52DF23A;
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Dell Technologies to upgrade
27 Desktops and Laptops for Little Rock Police Department in the amount not to exceed Sixty Six Thousand
28 Eight Hundred Twenty Six and 55/100 Dollars ($66,826.55) plus applicable taxes and fees with funding
29 available from JAG 23 funds 270529-60200-G52DF23A.
30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
4 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
