3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GRAYBAR ELECTRIC COMPANY, INC.,
5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE
6 THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED FIFTEEN AND 00/100 DOLLARS
7 ($151,615.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO PURCHASE
8 UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY (UPS) SYSTEMS; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems are crucial to the City because they
12 provide backup power as quickly as possible in the event of power loss and provide some protection to
13 equipment caused by power quality issues;and
14 WHEREAS,UPS systems are critical to systems that support 911,Fire,and Police; and
15 WHEREAS,Existing UPS systems are reaching obsolescence at the age of over 15 years old;
16 WHEREAS,the City wishes to purchase Vertiv's Liebert UPS system;and
17 WHEREAS, Resolution 1,518 (August 3, 2021)intent to spend American Rescue Plan Act Funds on
18 Critical Information Technology Upgrades to Cybersecurity and IT infrastructure across City
19 Departments
20 WHEREAS, the service is to be procured through the Cooperative Purchasing Program, Omnia
21 Contract#EV2370;and
22 WHEREAS,the cost for the contract will be in an amount not to One Hundred Fifty-One Thousand,
23 Six Hundred Fifteen and 00/100 Dollars($151,615.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a service agreement in an amount not to
27 exceed One Hundred Fifty-One Thousand, Six Hundred Fifteen and 00/100 Dollars ($151,615.00), plus
28 applicable taxes and fees,with Graybar Electric Company,Inc.
29 Section 2. Funds are available from ARPA IT Upgrades to Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure
30 271309 G0601AR3OB 72200.
31 Section 3. The purchase shall be made using the Cooperative Purchasing Program, Omnia Contract
32 #EV2370.

i Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be
2 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
3 Resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
4 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution.
5 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with
6 any provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
