3 A RESOLUTION TO REQUIRE THAT THE 2024 AUDIT BE
4 PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
5 ARKANSAS, FINANCIAL REPORTING GUIDELINES, GUIDELINES
6 AND FORMAT PRESCRIBED BY THE GOVERNMENTAL
7 ACCOUNTING STANDARDS BOARD,THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF
8 CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS AND THE UNITED STATES
9 GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY OFFICE; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, Ark. Code Ann. § 14-58-101 (West Supp. 2015) sets minimum standards for annual
13 audits, and further provides that municipalities may,by annual resolution,exceed the minimum standards;
14 and,
15 WHEREAS,the City desires to maintain the highest standards of financial reporting,and to pass such
16 a resolution.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The 2024 Audit shall be performed in accordance with the guidelines and format prescribed
20 by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board,the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
21 and the United States Government Accountability Office; as authorized by Ark. Code Ann. § 14-58-101
22 (West Supp. 2015);and,the City of Little Rock,Arkansas,Financial Reporting Guidlines.
23 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 3. Repealer. All resolutions,bylaws,and other matters inconsistent this resolution are hereby
29 repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
