3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
4 EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT DONATION
5 OF PROPERTY FROM THE CLIFTON FAMILY LIMITED LIABILITY
6 PARTNERSHIP, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADDING LAND TO EXPAND
7 REMMEL PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept a donation of land from the Clifton Family Limited
10 Liability Partnership for the purpose of adding land to expand Remmel Park; and,
11 WHEREAS,the City has been offered the donation of property from Clifton Family Limited
12 Liability Partnership with an estimated appraised value of Two Hundred Thirty Thousand
13 ($230,000.00)adjacent to Remmel Park; and
14 WHEREAS, pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 14-54-302 (West Supp. 2019) a resolution is
15 necessary to accomplish the land donation.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
17 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Mayor and Acting City Clerk are authorized to execute any necessary documents, in
19 a form acceptable to the City Attorney,to accept the donation of property from Clifton Family Limited
20 Liability Partnership,more specifically described as follows:
21 A tract of land being part of the N 1/2 of Section 17,Township 1 North,Range
22 11 West, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly
23 described as follows: Commencing at a concrete monument at the Northwest
24 corner of Section 17;thence South 01 degree 08 minutes 57 seconds West along
25 the West line of said Section 17 for a distance of 356.73 feet; thence South 88
26 degrees 23 minutes 28 seconds East 942.83 feet thence South 88 degrees 25
27 minutes 19 seconds East 691.86 feet to the Easterly right of way line of Lindsey
28 Road; thence along said right of way line for the following courses and
29 distances: South 29 degrees 06 minutes 48 seconds West 54.66 feet; South 23
30 degrees 58 minutes 16 seconds East 275.00 feet; South 26 degrees 40 minutes
31 50 seconds East 201.95 feet; South 23 degrees 58 minutes 16 seconds East
32 200.00 feet; South 21 degrees 06 minutes 31 seconds East 50.38 feet; South 21
33 degrees 34 minutes 21 seconds East 184.48 feet to a point of beginning; thence
34 South 21 degrees 34 minutes 21 seconds East 80 feet (plus or minus); thence
35 South 28 degrees 06 minutes 40 seconds East 196.00 feet; thence South 82
36 degrees 57 minutes 40 seconds East 198.52 feet; thence South 64 degrees 32
37 minutes 50 seconds East 175.58 feet; thence South 54 degrees 14 minutes 27

10 Section 2. The Board of Directors accepts as accurate the appraisal of the property and agrees that the
11 property has an approximate value of Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars($230,000.00).
12 Section 3. Funding for closing costs is available from the Parks Operating Budget.
13 Section 4. A title search and a land appraisal report has been performed on the property and the property
14 is all clear of any environmental issues or concerns.
15 Section 5. The Board of Directors declares that this donation of property is for park purposes and
16 directs that any necessary actions be taken to include this property on the Little Rock Parks &Recreation
17 Master Parks Plan approved in the Little Rock,Ark.,Ordinance No. 18,528(July 17,2001),as amended.
18 Section 6. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
19 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
20 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
21 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
22 resolution.
23 Section 7. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
24 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency including,but not
25 limited to,Little Rock,Ark.,Ordinance No. 18,528 (July 17,2001)as it has been amended.
