HomeMy WebLinkAbout16514 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,514 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE TREE MARSHALL, 5 AS PRIMARY CONTRACTOR, AND LOOKS GREAT SERVICES 6 OF MISSISSIPPI, INC., AS SECONDARY CONTRACTOR, IN AN 7 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY 8 THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($250,000.00), FOR TREE 9 REMOVAL AND TREE-TRIVIA/LING SERVICES ON AN AS- 10 NEEDED BASIS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK 11 12 WHEREAS,an invitation to bid on an annual agreement, under Bid Event 2687, was issued 13 to provide Tree Removal and Tree Trimming Services on an as-needed basis for various City 14 Departments;and, 15 WHEREAS, The Tree Marshall submitted the lowest qualified bid meeting specifications, 16 and Looks Great Services of Mississippi, Inc., submitted the second lowest qualified bid meeting 17 specifications,-and the bid allows for a one-year agreement with up to two additional one-year 18 extensions; 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with The Tree 22 Marshall, as primary contractor, and Looks Great Service of Mississippi, Inc., as secondary 23 contractor, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand and 00/100 Dollars 24 ($250,000.00)for tree trimming and removal,as needed. 25 Section 2. Funds for the Tree Trimming and Tree Removal services are available in the 26 operating budgets of City Departments utilizing the services. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 28 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 29 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall 30 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional 31 was not originally a part of the resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are 33 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such 34 inconsistency.
