Home My WebLink About16513 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,513 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO UTILIZE 4 THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ACTIVE LIST 5 OF SUPPLIERS AND BID PRICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 6 THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($300,000.00) FOR THE 7 PURCHASE OF ASPHALT CONCRETE HOT MIX MATERIALS IN 8 BULK FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department utilizes Asphalt Concrete Hot Mix materials for the 12 purpose of pothole patching and street surface repairs;and, 13 WHEREAS, Arkansas Department of Transportation bids Asphalt Concrete Hot Mix materials 14 multiple times each year due to fluctuations in prices and keeps an active list of suppliers and bid prices for 15 Asphalt Concrete Hot Mix materials;and, 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to utilize the suppliers and bid 19 prices from Arkansas Department of Transportation active bids for the purchase of Asphalt Concrete Hot 20 Mix materials,in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars($300,000.00)for 21 a period of one year,to be utilized for pothole patching and street surface repairs. 22 Section 2. Funds for the purchases are allocated in the Public Works Department account for Streets 23 &Drainage Maintenance 204003 -61020. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
