4 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH H.W. TUCKER
5 COMPANY, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED
6 ONE THOUSAND,NINE HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE DOLLARS AND 00/100,
7 ($501,951.00), FOR RESERVOIR ROAD WIDENING IMPROVEMENT
8 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design roadway
11 improvements to address street deficiencies on Reservoir Road;and
12 WHEREAS, project improvements include construction to widen Reservoir Road to a three-lane
13 section from Northedge Road to Meredith Court with new curb gutters, curb inlets, underground storm
14 drainage,and a sidewalk;and
15 WHEREAS,pursuant to Bid Event No.2690,H.W.Tucker Company,Inc.was the lowest responsive,
16 responsible bid meeting the requested bid requirements out of two(2)bids received; and,
17 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed Five Hundred One Thousand,Nine Hundred
18 Fifty-One and 00/100 Dollars, ($501,951.00), which includes the base bid amount of Four Hundred
19 Eighteen Thousand,Two Hundred Ninety-Three and 00/100 Dollars($418,293.00)and a 20%contingency
20 of Eighty Three Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-Eight and 00/100 Dollars($83,658.00), if needed; and,
21 WHEREAS,funding for the project is from the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement
22 Bonds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 15,968 (May 2, 2023) with funds from Account
23 Activity B4D032S;
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with H.W.
27 Tucker Company,Inc. in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred One Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifty-One
28 Dollars and 00/100, ($501,951.00), which includes a 20% contingency of Eighty-Three Thousand, Six
29 Hundred Fifty-Eight and 00/100 Dollars($83,658.00),if needed,for the Reservoir Road Widening project.
30 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement
31 Bonds as authorized by Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023),with funds in Account Activity
32 B4D032S.
33 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
34 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 SECTION 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
5 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
