4 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
5 INTO A CONTRACT WITH POSITIVE RESULTS LAWN SERVICES,
6 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-ONE THOUSAND,
7 FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY AND 00/100 DOLLARS, ($51,480.00), FOR
8 LAMARCHE DRIVE AT LUCKY LANE CROSSWALKS IMPROVEMENT
9 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

11 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design crosswalk
12 improvements to address deficiencies and improve pedestrian safety and provide access from residence,
13 east of LaMarche to Don Roberts Elementary School;and,
14 WHEREAS,project improvements include construction of two (2) new crosswalks and a section of
15 new sidewalk on LaMarche Drive between Lucky Lane and Forest Lane;and,
16 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid Event No. 2689, Positive Results Lawn Services, Inc. was the lowest
17 responsive,responsible bid meeting the requested bid requirements out of three(3)bids received; and,
18 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed Fifty-One Thousand Four Hundred Eighty
19 and 00/100 Dollars, ($51,480.00), which includes the base bid amount of Forty-Two Thousand Nine
20 Hundred and 00/100 Dollars($42,900.00)and a 20%contingency of Eight Thousand,Five Hundred Eighty
21 and 00/100 Dollars($8,580.00), if needed; and,
22 WHEREAS,funding for the project is from the 3/8 Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
23 Use Tax Funds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 14,803 (June 19, 2018) with funds from
24 Account Activity TS5B144;
25 NOW,'THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
27 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Positive
28 Results Lawn Services,Inc.in an amount not to exceed Fifty-One Thousand,Four Hundred Eighty Dollars
29 and 00/100, ($51,480.00), which includes a 20% contingency, for the LaMarche Drive at Lucky Lane
30 Crosswalks project.
31 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
32 Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution 14803 (June 19,2018).Account Activity TS5B144.
33 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
34 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
5 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
