HomeMy WebLinkAbout16506 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,506 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK,ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 4 15,676 (MAY 3, 2022), TO AMEND AN ALLOCATION OF THE 5 REMAINING PORTION OF THE FIRST TRANCHE OF THE CITY OF 6 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, ALLOTMENT OF LOCAL FISCAL 7 RECOVERY FUNDS THROUGH THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT; 8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,on May 17,2021,the United States Department of Treasury deposited Eighteen 11 Million,Eight Hundred Fifty- Six Thousand, Seven Hundred and 50/ 100 Dollars 12 ($ 18, 856, 700. 50)as the first tranche of City of Little Rock,Arkansas("the City")American Rescue 13 Act"ARPA"Funds;and, 14 WHEREAS,pursuant to Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 15, 518(August 3,2021),and Little 15 Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 15, 524(August 17,2021),the Board of Directors stated the City's 16 intentions for the use of this first tranche of ARPA Funds;and, 17 WHEREAS,there is a remaining portion of One Million,Four Hundred Eleven 18 Thousand,One Hundred Fifty- Six Dollars($ 1,411,156.00)of the first tranche of ARPA Funds; 19 WHEREAS,Resolution 15,676(May 3,2022),authorized the expenditure of the remaining funds 20 on eligible needs. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF 22 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. Section 4(a)(i)of Resolution No. 15,676(May 3,2022)is hereby amended to state the 24 intent of the Board of Directors that the amount of One Hundred Seventy Thousand,One Hundred Fifty- 25 Six Dollars($170,156.00)of the funds allotted of the total Two Hundred One Thousand,One Hundred 26 Fifty-Six Dollars($201,156.00),be spent on Sidewalks,will instead be spent on public safety employee 27 salaries. 28 Section 2. Severabiliry. In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 29 of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect 31 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the ordinance. 32 Section 3. Repealer.
