2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
3 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WHITING SYSTEMS,INC.,IN AN AMOUNT
4 NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND, AND NO/100
5 DOLLARS ($400,000.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR
6 THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF TRUCK WASHING
7 EQUIPMENT FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FLEET SERVICES
8 DEPARTMENT, FOR USE AT THE LANDFILL TRUCK WASH; AND
9 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Fleet Services Department has a need to purchase truck washing equipment for the
12 Landfill Truck Wash;and,
13 WHEREAS, the truck wash is essential for maintaining the Solid Waste fleet vehicles in clean and
14 serviceable condition;and,
15 WHEREAS, Vendor selection of Whiting Systems, Inc., was made through the utilization of the
16 HGACBuy Contract No.FLO3-21;and,
17 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase with installation is not to exceed Four Hundred Thousand
18 and No/100 Dollars($400,000.00),plus applicable fees and taxes;
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Whiting Systems,Inc, in
22 an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Thousand and No/100 Dollars($400,000.00), plus applicable fees
23 and taxes, for the purchase and installation of truck washing equipment for the Public Works Landfill
24 Division.
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Solid Waste Enterprise Fund and
26 Fleet Special Projects Account No.600099-S60A721-72200.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
