HomeMy WebLinkAbout16503 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,503 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE 4 CHANGE ORDERS TO MAKE FINAL PAYMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION 5 SERVICES WITH DOYNE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., IN AN 6 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND, 7 NINE HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX AND 59/100 DOLLARS, ($216,966.59), FOR 8 THE INTAKE ADDITION TO THE LITTLE ROCK ANIMINAL 9 VILLAGE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 10 11 WHEREAS,in Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 13,343 (July 11,2011)(LRR 13,343),as adopted by 12 the Little Rock Board of Directors, expressed the intent to allocate $1,193,000.00 from the 3/8 Cents tax 13 passed in 2011 for expansion and equipment for the Animal Village;and, 14 WHEREAS,the expansion project of the Animal Village increased intake of animals into the shelter, 15 provided new kennels and commercial washer and dryers;and, 16 WHEREAS, Doyne Construction Company Inc. requests fmal payment for change orders for 17 Construction Services of Two Hundred Sixteen Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-Six and 59/100 Dollars; 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to aprove and finalize change orders for payment of 21 construction services with Doyne Construction Company, Inc. for the development of the intake addition 22 to the Little Rock Animal Village. 23 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8 Cent Tax available in the Animal Village Expansion 24 Account number TS35A06 and the Animal Village Accounts S00B357 and S00B235. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4.
