HomeMy WebLinkAbout16502 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,502 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH NORTH AMERICAN FIRE EQUIPMENT 5 COMPANY,INC.,(NAFECO)FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTING 6 PROTECTIVE COATS AND PANTS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 7 FITY THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE AND 39/100 8 DOLLARS ($50,671.39), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR 9 THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department is in need of protective coats and pants for the 2024 13 Recruit Class B;and 14 WHEREAS, the specifications for this purchase were written and approved by the members serving 15 on the Little Rock Fire Department Safety Committee;and 16 WHEREAS,Vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourewell Contract No.032620- 17 LIO for the purchase of fourteen (14) protective Coats and Pants from North American Fire Equipment 18 Company,Inc,(NAFECO);and, 19 WHEREAS, the total cost for the purchase shall not exceed Fifty Thousand, Six Hundred Seventy- 20 One and 39/100 Dollars($50,671.39)plus applicable fees and taxes; and, 21 WHEREAS,funds are available through the ACT 833 special project(210519-S00B250-63390); 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with North American Fire 25 Equipment Company, Inc. for the purchase of firefighting protective coats and pants for the Little Rock 26 Fire Department in the amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand,Six Hundred Seventy-One and 39/100 Dollars 27 ($50,671.39),plus applicable fees and taxes. 28 Section 2. Funding for this purchase are available through the ACT 833 special project (210519- 29 S00B250-63390). 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and [1] 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 4. Repealer.
