HomeMy WebLinkAbout16500 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,500 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LARRY HARRIS DBA HARRIS 5 CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 6 ONE HUNDRED FORTY-THREE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED FOUR 7 DOLLARS($143,904.00),FOR THE 24TH AND 25TH STREET SIDEWALKS; 8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, project improvements include sidewalk and curb construction on 24th Street and 25th 11 Street east of Main and Scott Streets from 24th and 25th Street;and, 12 WHEREAS,pursuant to Bid Event No.2588,Larry Harris dba Harris Construction Management was 13 the lowest most responsive,responsible bidder meeting the requested bid requirements of the three(3)bids 14 received;and, 15 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed One Hundred Forty-Three Thousand,Nine 16 Hundred Four Dollars($143,904.00),which includes a 20%contingency. 17 WHEREAS,funding for the project is from Infrastructure as Economic Development Accounting 18 Unit 108409 Activity S40G673. 19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with Larry 22 Harris dba Harris Construction Management, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Three 23 Thousand,Nine Hundred Four Dollars($143,904.00),which includes a 20%contingency,for the 24th and 24 25th Street Sidewalks Project. 25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from Infrastructure as Economic Development Accounting Unit 26 108409 Activity S40G673. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer.
