3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CHF CONTRACTORS, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED NINETY-NINE
6 THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($599,400.00), FOR THE •
7 WOODSON ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design roadway
11 improvements to address street deficiencies on Woodson Road to Browning Road; and,
12 WHEREAS, project improvements include reconstruction and installation of new curb and gutters,
13 curb inlets and underground storm drainage and a sidewalk;and,
14 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid Event No. 2672, CHF Contractors, Inc. was the lowest responsive,
15 responsible bid meeting the requested bid requirements out of three(3)bids received; and,
16 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed Five Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand,Four
17 Hundred Dollars($599,400.00),which includes a 20%contingency.
18 WHEREAS,funding for the project is from the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement
19 Bonds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 15,968 (May 2, 2023) with funds from Account
20 Activity B3D029D;
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with CHF
24 Contractors,Inc., in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Ninety Nine Thousand,Four Hundred Dollars
25 ($599,400.00),which includes a 20%contingency,for the Woodson Road Reconstruction Project.
26 Section 2. Funding for this project is allocated in the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital
27 Improvement Bonds as authorized by Little Rock,Ark., Resolution No. 15,9668 (May 2, 2023),Account
28 No.B3D029D.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
33 resolution.
34 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
35 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
