3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK. RESOLUTION NO.
4 16,151 (NOVEMBER 7, 2023) TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER
5 TO ENTER INTO A ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH
6 CANVAS COMMUNITY, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE
7 HUNDRED EIGHTY-THREE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY-
8 FOUR AND 04/100 DOLLARS ($183,894.04), FOR THE BRIDGE TO
9 WORK PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 16,151 (November 7, 2023), the Board of
12 Directors authorized the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Canvas Community for the Bridge
13 to Work Program, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy- Eight Thousand, Five Hundred
14 Thirty-Seven and 90/ 100 Dollars ($ 178, 537. 90) per year; and, and, provided further, that by mutual
15 agreement of the parties, the contract may be extended for up to three(3) additional one (1)- year terms
16 with a Cost of Living Adjustment not to exceed 3%each year.
17 WHEREAS,the City and Canvas Community wishes to extend the agreement for the first year of the
18 three(3)additional one(1)-year extensions,and,
19 WHEREAS,the total contract amount shall not exceed One Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand, Eight
20 Hundred Ninety-Four And 04/100 Dollars($183,894.04);
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Canvas Community for
24 the Bridge to Work Program, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand, Eight
25 Hundred Ninety-Four And 04/100 Dollars($183,894.04).
26 Section 2. Funds are available from the Homeless Services account 108359.
27 Section 3. Severabiliry. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be
28 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
29 Resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
30 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, including but not
32 limited to, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 16,151 (November 7, 2023)which are in conflict with any
33 provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
