COVER LETTER
I, Walter Shorter Jr., am asking to maintain my fence in order to protect my young family and guests
who want to play and socialize in the yard. When I purchased the home, windows were vandalized on
that side of the house. I've since fixed the windows and put security bars on the inside along that side of
the house. I had some nieces and nephews over playing in the yard, later they all came running in the
house saying there is a crazy naked woman outside. I go outside and a woman was walking down the
street with only her bra and underwear on. Kids should not have to be exposed to that behavior, so I
decided to put a fence up along that side of the house.
There are men walking along that sidewalk 24/7 and I'm sure most are on drugs. Hopefully, the fence
will deter some from trying to break in and maybe add some protection from the negative behavior
walking on that side of the house. Some addicts have no control of their actions and I just want to
maybe prevent what could happen. I'm sure the Code Enforcement Board would do anything to protect
their family and friends if possible. So I'm praying the Code Enforcement Board will allow me to do the
same.
