Please also see the following brief description of proposed development below: The proposed development consists of a renovation and addition to the Central Arkansas Library System's Main Library. The project site is located at 100 South Rock Street within the River Marked Design District which is currently zoned for urban use (Zone UU). The renovation and addition aim to reorganize the library departments, construct a new rooftop experience, and reconstruct the site to include green space. Ultimately, this project will create a more engaging space for patron use and a safer pedestrian experience throughout the project site. We are utilizing the BOA process to request the variances listed in the attached approval letter from the River Market Design Review Committee. We respectfully submit these plans for review.
