Gatson Bates Drive Variance for Pool Construction To Whom it May Concern: Our residence at 407 East Daisy L. Gatson Bates Drive has an "outdoor room" located between the house and the studio. When we submitted our request for approval for an infill house (July 2018), we included this area on our blueprints with a proposed pool. With the approval of our application, we understood that included the pool. I did not understand the significance at the time, but we were told the area between the house and studio should be referred to as an outdoor room. We have been informed we will now need a variance for the pool, and we are seeking a variance for the pool construction if it is required. The pool will not be visible from the alley and will be behind the existing fence, which will remain in its current location. Thank you for your consideration.
