HomeMy WebLinkAbout16486 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,486 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ESCAMILLA 5 EXCAVATING,LLC IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR 6 HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND,FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY- 7 THREE AND 20/100 DOLLARS ($412,573.20), FOR F STREET 8 RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design roadway 11 improvements to address deficiencies in street and drainage in the area of F Street from North 12 Spruce Street to North Palm Street;and 13 WHEREAS, project improvements include reconstruction of F Street from North Spruce 14 Street to North Palm Street to the local street standard with curbs,gutter,a sidewalk,drainage inlets 15 and underground drainage;and 16 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid Event No. 2658, Escamilla Excavating, LLC was the lowest 17 responsive, responsible bid meeting the requested bid requirements out of two (2) bids received; 18 and, 19 WHEREAS,the total cost for this contract shall not exceed Four Hundred Twelve Thousand, 20 Five Hundred Seventy-Three and 20/100 Dollars ($412,573.20),which includes a twenty percent 21 (20%)contingency,if needed;and, 22 WHEREAS, funding for the project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as 23 authorized by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023)with funds from Account Activity B3D022S; 24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 1'HL 25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Escamilla 27 Excavating,LLC in an amount not exceed Four Hundred Twelve Thousand,Five Hundred Seventy- 28 Three and 20/100 Dollars ($412,573.20) which includes a twenty percent (20%) contingency, if 29 needed; and, to reconstruct F Street from N. Spruce Street to N. Palm Street to the local street 30 standard with curbs,gutter,a sidewalk,drainage inlets and underground drainage. 31 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized 32 by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023). Account Activity B3D022S. 33 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 34 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 35 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall [Page 1 of 2] 1 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional 2 was not originally a part of the resolution. 3 Section 4. Repealer.
