3 A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE HEIGHTS TEMPORARY
4 ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT, FOR THREE (3) DAYS, NOVEMBER 10,
5 2024,NOVEMBER 21,2024,AND DECEMBER 19,2024;AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, on July 23, 2019, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed
9 Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21,761, as amended, which permitted the creation of a Temporary
10 Entertainment District pursuant to Arkansas State Law and City Ordinance;and,
11 WHEREAS,the City Board of Directors has determined the creation of a Temporary Entertainment
12 District as proposed by Ordinance No.21,761 as amended is appropriate as recommended by the Planning
13 &Development Department.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS.
16 Section 1.The Heights Temporary Entertainment District is hereby created by the City of Little Rock
17 as a Temporary Entertainment District on Monday,November 4,2024,and subject to Ordinance No.21,761
18 as amended and its defined terms.
19 Section 2. Boundaries. The Heights Temporary Entertainment District boundaries will run along
20 Kavanaugh Boulevard from University Avenue in the west to North Polk Street in the east.In addition,the
21 district includes Kavanaugh Boulevard from Cantrell Road running north along the eastern side of
22 Kavanaugh to the intersection of Club Road and North Van Buren Street. Finally,the district includes the
23 area zoned for business immediately north of the intersection of Club Road and North Van Buren Street.
24 Section 3. Timeframe. The Heights Temporary Entertainment District shall be designated as a
25 Temporary Entertainment District upon the adoption of this resolution and shall expire after December 19,
26 2024.The dates and times are November 10,2024,from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM,November 21,2024,from
27 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM,and December 19,2024,from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM,as adopted by this resolution.
28 The City reserves the right to amend boundaries and hours of operation at its sole discretion.
29 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 5. Repealer.All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
