A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON NOVEMBER 21, 2006 ON THE QUESTION OF
THE ISSUANCE OF WASTE DISPOSAL REVENUE BONDS FOR
THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING BETTERMENTS AND
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CITY'S WASTE COLLECTION AND
DISPOSAL SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "City ") owns
and operates a waste collection and disposal system (the "System ");
and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is necessary to
acquire, construct and equip betterments and improvements to the
System that include particularly, without limitation, a methane gas
collection system to collect the methane gas from Cells 1 and 2 of the
City's Class 1 landfill located at 10803 Ironton Cutoff in southern
Pulaski County (the "Landfill ") and compression and transmission
system to dispose of the methane gas by delivering and selling the gas
to a industrial facility located in the vicinity of the Landfill;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That November 21, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. shall be the
date and time for a public hearing on the question of the issuance of
up to $4,000,000 in principal amount of Waste Disposal Revenue Bonds,
Series 2006 for the purpose of financing betterments and improvements
to the System.
