PRQPOSALIREaUEST: The Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation proposes a 3500 sq. ft. temporary office building to be constructed at their headquarters at 8000 Scott Hamilton Drive. This will allow for up to five years of growth while a new building is being planned. This temporary building will be made of modular office units manufactured off -site by Gelco Space Company. Once the new permanent office building is constructed, it is anticipated that this temporary office building would be removed from this location. B. EXISTING CONDITIONS: The site is currently occupied by several office and storage buildings. The roadways are in place which are providing adequate access to the various buildings of the site. C. ENGINEERING COMMENTS: No engineering comments. 1 May 7, 1991 SUBDIVISION ITEM NO.' S CONT. D. ISSUES LEGAL It TECHNICAL DESIGN: There are no issues associated with this site plan review. E. ANALYSIS' The planning staff review of the site plan reveals no problems with the proposal as presented. F. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval as filed. SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE CDMMENT (APRIL 25, 1991) Mr. Steve Sharp was present. There was a general discussion of the proposal. There were no issues of significance to relate to the full Commission. The item was forwarded without further comment. PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: (MAY 7, 1991) There were no objectors in attendance. The application was represented by Mr. Steve Sharp. The Planning Commission briefly discussed this site plan. It was determined that this item be placed on the consent agenda for approval with a condition that the Planning commission review would be required after five years if temporary structure is not removed. A motion to that effect was made and passed by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 3 absent, and one open position. 2
