CITY BEAUTIFUL
COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
The City Beautiful Commission held a planned meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22,
2024, at Little Rock City Hall, 2nd Floor, Board of Directors’ Chambers, 500 W. Markham St.
Chairman Steven Homeyer called the meeting to order.

MEMBERS ABSENT: Louise Miller
ALSO PRESENT: Beth Carpenter, Little Rock City Attorney’s Office

APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST MEETING MINUTES:
Motion: A motion was made that the August 22, 2024, minutes be approved.
Second: The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously.
VARIANCE REQUEST:
None requested.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Expense Report:
Roudy Neree is no longer on the commission. A motion was made to nominate Adam Wierciak as
the new treasure. The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously. Staff will coordinate with
Adam and Brad Jordan for bank account information.

COMMITTEE REPORTS, UPDATES:
Public Relations:
The Commission discussed leaving the Public Relation position vacant until new commissioners
are appointed.
KLRB:
No update
Landscape Awards:
The Commission discussed getting more nominations and pictures.
Staff will present the nominees in a slideshow and awards will be voted on at the October
meeting.
Eye of the Beholder:
The Commission asked staff about getting new award card. Staff will bring new cards to the
October meeting.
T.R.E.E. Fund:
No update
NEW BUSINESS:
• Staff discussed the 2024 attendance record. Commissioners Higgins, Neree, and Wilson have
been removed for poor attendance. Commissioners Chance, Homeyer, Miller, Walker, and
Winchester have expiring term limits in October, 2024. All were informed of the process to
reapply.
• The 2024 and 2025 calendars were discussed. The November 2024 meeting will be canceled
for Thanksgiving holiday. Staff will look into an alternative date/location for the December
2024 meeting. December 2024 meeting date/location and the 2025 calendar will be discussed
and voted on at the October meeting.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The next Commission meeting will be October 22, 2024.

Chairman Homeyer entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Motion: A motion was made for the meeting to adjourn.
Second: The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:27 pm.
