3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH QUALITY SECURITY SERVICES, INC., IN
5 AN ESTIMATED ANNUAL COST OF TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE
6 THOUSAND, DOLLARS ($289,000.00), TO PROVIDE SECURITY
7 GUARD SERVICES AT VARIOUS CITY FACILITIES; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. 2136, Quality Security Services, Inc., submitted the most
responsible and responsive bid for an annual contract to provide Security Guard Services at various City
facilities, at an estimated annual cost of Two Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($289,000.00); and,
WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be one (!)-year and may be extended for two (2)
additional one ( I )-year periods, if approved by the City Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an annual
contract with Quality Security Services, Inc., to provide Security Guard Services at various City facilities,
at an annual cost of Two Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($289,000.00), with possible renewals
of two (2) additional one (])-year periods, if approved by the City Manager.
Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from various Departmental Budgets.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
