3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-THREE THOUSAND FIVE
6 HUNDRED TWELVE AND 44/100 DOLLARS ($83,512.44), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF TEN (10)
8 MOBILE RADIO SYSTEMS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK EMERGENCY
9 COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS
10 STATE CONTRACT PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER
11 PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Emergency Communications Department has been transitioning away
14 from Motorola XTS5000 Portable Radios,as they are at the end of their serviceable life,and the APX N70
15 Portable Radio is smaller and incorporates cellular technology to allow expanded communications range;
16 and,
17 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Contract No. 4600050253, the Little Rock Police
18 Department can purchase ten (10) APX N70 Radios for members of the Little Rock Emergency
19 Communications Departmental use for the total cost not to exceed Eighty-Three Thousand Five Hundred
20 Twelve and 44/100 Dollars($83,512.44),plus applicable taxes and fees;
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to utilize the Arkansas State
24 Contract No.4600050253 to enter into a contract with Motorola Solutions,Inc.,for the purchase of ten(10)
25 APX N70 Radios for members of the Little Rock Emergency Communications Department for the total
26 cost not to exceed Eighty-Three Thousand Five Hundred Twelve and 44/100 Dollars ($83,512.44), plus
27 applicable taxes and fees.
28 Section 2.Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Department 9-1-1 Fund,Account No.220512.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
