CE TO ABANDON THE TWENTY (20) FOOT WIDE
4 PLATTED ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY (TWENTY (20) FEET BY 164 FEET)
5 LOCATED WITHIN BLOCK 8, WOODRUFF'S ADDITION IN THE CITY
6 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (G-23-490); AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the owner of all abutting properties is requesting to abandon the twenty (20) foot wide
10 (east/west) platted alley right-of-way (twenty (20) feet by 164 feet), located within block 8
11 (block bounded by E. 7th, E. 8th, College and McLean Streets), Woodruff Addition, in the City of
12 Little Rock, Arkansas; and,
13 WHEREAS, the Right -of -Way at this location is currently undeveloped and grass -covered. All
14 properties along the north and south sides of the alley are also undeveloped; and,
15 WHEREAS, the abandonment is requested to incorporate the area into the Artspace PCD
16 Development.
17 WHEREAS, the abandonment of this right-of-way will have no adverse impact on the public welfare
18 and safety. The Little Rock Fire Department submitted no negative comments to the proposed
19 abandonment request; and,
20 WHEREAS, the applicant submitted a letter from an abstract company stating that there are no
21 reversionary clauses attached to the right-of-way requested for abandonment; and,
22 WHEREAS, all of the public utility companies have reviewed and approved the requested right-of-
23 way abandonment; and,
24 WHEREAS, there are no Master Street Plan issues associated with this abandonment request, as the
25 right-of-way is not classified as a collector street or higher.
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
27 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
28 Section 1. The City of Little Rock, hereby releases, vacates, and abandons the following rights-of-
29 way property located at the twenty (20) foot wide platted alley right-of-way (twenty (20) feet by 164
30 feet), located within block 8 (block bounded by E. 7th, E. 8th, College and McLean Streets), Woodruffs
31 Addition, in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
32 Section 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Real Estate
33 Records of the Recorder of the Circuit Clerk in Ex-Officio Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.

1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph,
2 item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
3 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining provisions of this
4 ordinance, as if such invalid or unconstitutional provision was not originally a part of this ordinance.
5 Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
6 ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
