Home My WebLink About16435 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,435 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GENE SUMMERS CONSTRUCTION, INC., 5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED TWELVE 6 THOUSAND, SEVENTY-TWO DOLLARS ($312,072.00), FOR THE WEST 7 10TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for the West 10th Street Reconstruction Project,Bid No.2600;and, 11 WHEREAS, Gene Summers Construction, Inc., submitted the lowest responsive, responsible bid 12 meeting specifications of the two(2)bids received for the project;and, 13 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed Three Hundred Twelve Thousand, Seventy- 14 Two Dollars($312,072.00),which includes a 20%contingency. 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with Gene 18 Summers Construction, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Twelve Thousand, Seventy-Two 19 Dollars($312,072.00),which includes a 20%contingency,for the West 10th Street Reconstruction Project. 20 Section 2. Funding for this project is allocated in the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital 21 Improvement Bonds as authorized by Little Rock,Ark., Resolution No. 15,9668 (May 2,2023),Account 22 No.B1D006S. 23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and 26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 27 resolution. 28 Section 4. Repealer.
