HomeMy WebLinkAbout16437 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,437 2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 3 A FIVE (5)-YEAR LEASE AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH 4 DATAMAX INC.,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-THREE 5 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE AND 60/100 DOLLARS 6 ($73,253.60), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO LEASE A 7 CANON IMAGE PRESS LITE C265 COPIER FOR THE OFFICE OF CITY 8 ATTORNEY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 WHEREAS,it is critical that Office of City Attorney be equipped with state of the art copier services 10 to fax, copy, scan, and print voluminous Freedom of Information requests and responses for review and 11 redaction,ongoing litigation cases,transactional contracts and papers necessary to the day-to-day operation 12 of the City Attorney Office;and, 13 WHEREAS, vendor selection for the Canon imagePRESS Lite C265 Lease and Maintenance 14 Agreement was made through the Arkansas State Contract No. SP-20-0020-4600045512;and, 15 WHEREAS,the total amount of the Lease Maintenance Agreement shall not exceed Seventy-Three 16 Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-Three and 60/100 Dollars ($73,253.60), plus applicable taxes, fees, and 17 overage charges,if any; 18 WHEREAS, the five (5)-year contract term beginning September 1, 2024, through and including 19 August 30,2029,with funds available from the Copier rent Account No. 101801-065110; 20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a Lease Maintenance Agreement with 23 Datamax Inc., to lease a Canon imagePRESS Lite for a five (5)year lease term beginning September 1, 24 2024,through and including August 30,2029. 25 Section 2. Funding for the lease agreement shall not exceed Seventy-Three Thousand Two Hundred 26 Fifty-Three and 60/100 Dollars($73,253.60),plus applicable taxes,fees,and overage charges, if any,with 27 funds available in account 101801-065110. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution.
