3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY DISTRICT
5 DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
6 EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($850,000.00), TO
7 OPERATE A MOBILE GROCERY STORE IN WARDS ONE (1),TWO (2),
8 SIX(6),AND SEVEN(7)FOR ONE YEAR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock("City")through the current procurement and selection process
11 selected the University District Development Corporation to operate a mobile grocery store in Wards One
12 (1),Two(2), Six(6),and Seven(7);and,
13 WHEREAS,the contract amount for the mobile grocery services for 1 (one)year is in the amount of
14 Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($850,000.00).
15 WHEREAS,upon mutual agreement,the contract may be extended for two(2)additional one(1)year
16 periods upon approval by the City of Little Rock Board of Directors.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City of Little Rock Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute
20 an agreement with the University District Development Corporation for a mobile grocery store for 1 (one)
21 year in the amount of Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($850,000.00)to serve Wards One(1), Two
22 (2), Six(6),and Seven(7).Upon mutual agreement and upon approval by the City of Little Rock Board of
23 Directors the contract may be extended for two(2)additional one(1)year periods.
24 Section 2. Funding for this contract is available through the Food Desert Special Project Account No.
25 108108129--S 10G065.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
